It is a Directional Condenser Microphone with a Cardioid pickup pattern, designed to receive sound well from the front and will receive very little sound from the back and prevent noise well. It is also small, lightweight, easy to carry and does not need to be charged or used with batteries. It comes with a built-in headphone jack that can record sound and then connect headphones to listen to the recorded sound.
