The ART DualZDirect is a 2-channel passive direct box that provides two high-quality, totally passive interfaces for connecting instrument, line, or speaker-level signals to a mixer or other balanced inputs. Each high-impedance 1/4" input is converted by a high-performance isolation transformer into an isolated, balanced, low-impedance XLR output, plus a parallel 1/4" Thru to feed an on-stage amplifier at the same time.

Two fully independent high-quality passive channels for instruments, line devices, or speaker outputs feeding balanced console inputs.
Converts 50 kΩ inputs to 600 Ω balanced outputs with very flat response and excellent noise rejection. No power required.
Extremely clean and neutral sound with THD as low as 0.01% @ 1 kHz, +18 dBu and >80 dB channel separation.
Switchable 0 / –20 / –40 dB pad, 30 kHz low-pass filter, phase invert, and ground lift on each channel to handle hot signals, RF noise, phase issues, and ground loops.
Compact black-anodized housing designed to withstand the demands of live sound, installs, DJ rigs, and touring setups.
DualZDirect
2-Channel Passive Direct Box
The DualZDirect is a 2-channel passive direct box for connecting unbalanced instrument, line, or speaker signals to balanced inputs.
Each input signal is sent to a transformer-isolated XLR output and a parallel Thru jack so it can simultaneously be connected to an amplifier on stage.
Front panel switches engage up to 40 dB of attenuation to accommodate high-level signals, and a low-pass Bessel filter to eliminate high-frequency interference. Rear switches activate a ground lift to reduce hum, and invert the signal polarity to resolve phase issues, such as those which can occur when combining DI and mic sources.
As a fully passive design, the DualZDirect doesn’t require an external power source. Passive DIs are often a great match for powered sources such as synthesizers or guitars and basses with active preamps.
Simple and durable, the DualZDirect is a compact DI in a rugged aluminum enclosure with two indpendent channels and a versatile feature set.
