- Tailored for vocals: The Beta 58A features a frequency response specifically tuned for vocal applications (with a range of 50 Hz – 16,000 Hz). It emphasizes the upper midrange for added presence and clarity (brightened midrange) and includes a low-frequency bass roll-off to control the proximity effect (the phenomenon where bass frequencies become exaggerated when the microphone is placed very close to the sound source). This results in clear, natural-sounding vocals, even during close-mic use.

- Rugged metal construction: The microphone body is made from die-cast metal with a blue-silver finish, providing exceptional durability and resistance to heavy use, drops, and harsh stage environments.
- Hardened steel mesh grille: The extremely strong and durable grille is designed to withstand wear and careless handling.
- Advanced Pneumatic Shock Mount System: A proven internal shock mount system that effectively reduces handling noise, movement, and stand vibrations, resulting in a cleaner audio signal.
- Neodymium magnet: The use of a neodymium magnet delivers a high output level, allowing sufficient volume without excessive gain from the mixer, which helps minimize unwanted noise.
