The SSD TRIGGER 2 Blackbird Expansion was created to bring the rich, timeless sound of vintage drums into the hands of modern producers, engineers, and musicians. With its origins at the legendary Blackbird Studios in Nashville, the product was born from a desire to preserve and share the iconic sonic character of classic drum recordings. The goal was to craft a drum sample library that not only paid homage to five decades of analog recording but also elevated modern production by offering mix-ready, authentic sounds. Engineered by John McBride and performed by Chris Tyrell, the expansion was carefully designed to provide users with meticulously captured drum tones that blend the character of vintage gear with the convenience of digital technology.
