Universal Audio Apollo Twin MkII Heritage Edition is a premium audio interface from UAD that connects via Thunderbolt 2, renowned for its ultra-fast data transfer. It offers up to 10-in / 6-out connectivity, features a built-in DUO DSP Accelerator, and includes the LUNA music production software along with a Premium Plug-in Suite and the Realtime Analog Classics plug-in bundle.
Record Legendary Preamps with Unison™ Technology
The Unison preamp technology in the Apollo Twin MkII goes far beyond traditional modeling or software emulation. Unison is a true two-way communication between the Apollo Twin’s microphone preamps and Unison-enabled plug-ins, such as the included 610-B plug-in that faithfully recreates Universal Audio’s classic 610 tube preamp.
These plug-ins actively reconfigure the Apollo Twin’s analog preamp circuitry, including impedance, gain structure, and other key parameters. When you adjust the physical gain knob and controls on the Apollo Twin MkII, the plug-in simultaneously alters the preamp behavior to match the target hardware. This allows your microphone to interact with the Apollo Twin MkII input exactly as it would with the original modeled preamp.
UAD plug-ins have already revolutionized the recording world by delivering authentic analog processor sound without the need for large, expensive hardware racks. Unison technology extends this same philosophy to your microphone inputs, eliminating the need to collect and maintain costly outboard preamps while still achieving a wide palette of classic tones.
