Shape Your Tone with Parametric and Graphic EQ

With the new “EQ Type” button, the API Vision Channel Strip Collection lets you switch between the classic 550L 4-Band Parametric EQ and the iconic 560L 10-Band Graphic EQ. The new 560L emulation excels at sculpting guitars, adding bite to drums, and pushing lead vocals forward with unmistakable API analog character, low phase distortion, and ultra-precise detail.

212L Preamp with Unison Technology

The API Vision Channel Strip Collection becomes even more powerful when paired with Apollo interfaces via Unison technology. Unison gives you the authentic tone and behavior of the API 212L preamp, including input impedance, gain staging “sweet spots,” and circuit response. Through bi-directional communication between software and Apollo’s mic preamps, you also get functions from API’s flagship Vision Console—such as Mic/Line switching, dedicated low-cut filters, and a -6 dB pad.

Dynamic Control with the 225L Compressor

The 225L Compressor is a versatile tool with a bold sonic character, perfect for any instrument and genre. From individual tracks to full mixes, it delivers outstanding results.

Includes “New” and “Old” modes, allowing you to dial in compression styles ranging from smooth and subtle to bold and aggressive.

Unleash Creativity with API Gate/Expander and Filters

The 235L Gate/Expander is ultra-fast, letting you precisely control the ambience and attack of each track—whether it’s a kick drum or bass synth. It also efficiently reduces noise from drum kits and guitar amps.

Together with the 215L passive Hi-pass and Lo-pass filters, you can apply broad EQ shaping to expertly sculpt your source sound while preserving its original tone.
