The Fen‑tone is Warm Audio’s reimagination of a classic 1950s pencil-style ribbon mic, tailored for modern recording environments. It combines vintage aesthetics with premium components like a custom 1.8 µm Japanese aluminum ribbon, a rare-earth neodymium magnet, and a CineMag USA transformer. It also includes a switchable 26 dB in-line JFET preamp (“Warm Lifter”) for seamless integration with low-gain interfaces.

Selectable Passive/Active Mode: Passive vintage tone or +26 dB gain via JFET boost when phantom power is applied.
Figure-8 Polar Pattern: Classic ribbon design captures sound from front and rear, offering excellent side rejection.
Frequency Response: 30 Hz – 15 kHz (±3 dB), producing warm lows and rich mids with a gentle high-end roll-off
High SPL Handling: Up to 148 dB, making it ideal for loud sources like guitar cabinets, drum overheads, and horns.
