Waves CLA Unplugged was created to provide a streamlined, high-quality effects chain specifically designed for acoustic instruments. Developed in collaboration with legendary mix engineer Chris Lord-Alge, the plugin captures his personal workflow and sonic signature when treating acoustic sources. The goal was to simplify the often complex and time-consuming process of mixing instruments that thrive in a natural space—like acoustic guitars, pianos, strings, woodwinds, and vocals—by consolidating essential effects such as reverb, delay, EQ, and compression into a single, intuitive interface. By doing so, CLA Unplugged allows users to achieve polished, cinematic acoustic tones with minimal setup and effort, bringing Lord-Alge’s professional sound to producers, engineers, and performers of all levels.
