AKG is considered a brand specializing in producing high-quality microphones and is a pioneer in manufacturing the world’s first condenser microphones. One such microphone is the AKG D12, known for its Cardioid Polar Pattern. AKG also introduced the world’s first remote-controlled multi-pattern capacitor microphones, the C12 and D36. Notably, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) in London, United Kingdom, popularized the use of the C12 microphone.

AKG continues to advance high-quality microphone technology. They have also introduced the world’s smallest dual-diaphragm microphone, the CK77/C577 model, specifically designed for use in film and theater production.

AKG has also developed the new Performer Series, which includes affordable microphones suitable for parties, karaoke, home recording, and live music performances.
