Audioengine History
Audioengine, an audio equipment brand from the United States, emerged as a collective effort of individuals with extensive experience and expertise in the audio industry, particularly in the studio-grade segment. They have also worked behind the scenes for well-known brands in the audio and electronics industry, including Harman/Kardon, Apple, Gibson Guitars, and Alesis, amassing over 36 years of experience.
In 2002, the two co-founders, BRADY and DAVE, made the decision to assemble their original team and establish a new company under the name 'Audioengine.' Their goal was to design, manufacture, and develop speakers for consumer use, with a strong focus on computer-based home audio. The speakers created by Audioengine were designed to be of high quality and capable of delivering studio-grade audio quality naturally and authentically. The first product they produced was the 'Audioengine A5' speaker, which was one of the first active speakers in the market not designed exclusively for studio use. Furthermore, it was reasonably priced, making 'Audioengine A5' widely accepted by consumers, audiophiles, and music enthusiasts, achieving success within a remarkably short span of just three years.
In 2005, there were innovations made both in the physical design of the Audioengine A5 and improvements in sound quality and functionality, resulting in the creation of the Audioengine A5+ speaker system that we have today.
Even though Audioengine is a relatively young company, it hasn't remained idle. It continues to innovate, develop, refine, and introduce new product models into the market consistently to meet the demands of music enthusiasts seeking high-quality speakers at reasonable prices
Besides being designed for computer audio use, Audioengine also offers products in the DAC (Digital to Analog Converter) category, amplifiers, and wireless solutions such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi receivers. All these products are positioned as high-end solutions but remain accessible in terms of pricing, making them attainable for a wide range of consumers.
