As a performance pad and keyboard controller , the Akai Professional MPK 249 combines in- depth software integration, enhanced workflow, and the technology of legendary MPC workstations in one device. Each model in the MPK series offers full control of virtual instruments, effect plug-ins and DAWs . 49 semi-weighted buttons with aftertouch buttons , 8 assignable knobs, faders and switches, 16 MPC-style pads with RGB feedbackand integrated transport buttons are among the outstanding features of the MPK249. Three banks increase the number of knobs, faders and switches to up to 24 each, while the four pad banks increase the number of pads to a total of 64. Thanks to plug-and-play andUSB power supply , MPK249 can be quickly and easily connected to the PC or Mac . A power-saving mode for iOS operation via the Camera Connection Kit is also provided. The controller comes for a short time along with five melodic lessons

Software for music production
Akai MPK 249 comes with a powerful music production software package including Ableton Live Lite and MPC Essentials. With Ableton Live, musicians and producers can spontaneously compose, record, remix, and edit musical ideas in a seamless audio / MIDI environment.
MPC Essentials is software for sample triggering and groove / beat production. It can be integrated directly into any DAW, such as Ableton Live Lite, and is also stand-alone capable. In addition, MPC Essentials extends the size of the pad banks by a further 8 and offers 4 samples and insert effects per pad.
The new VIP 3.1 revolutionizes the hardware / software experience, giving musicians and producers unparalleled access to their VST instrument and effects collection. Artists can now assign all of their MIDI controller controls (buttons, encoders, faders, buttons) to VIP’s parameters for effortless integration and improved workflow.
